Bayern Munich 1-0 AC Milan, ICC: Bayern win via 1st half goal by Goreztka

In the midst of all this transfer nonsense, at least there are a few preseason games to keep us all sane.

FT: Bayern win as a result of Leon Goreztka’s first half goal. Bayern had a majority of the chances tonight including 2 goals that were ultimately called offsides. Kickoff: We are underway in Kansas City!

Half an hour until kickoff: We have lineups! Unfortunately, Javi Martinez and Serge Gnabry will have to sit this one out due to muscular problems (as a precautionary measure, the club has stated).

Okay, football is finally back (sort of). Bayern Munich take on AC Milan in their third game of the preseason, which so far includes a 2-1 loss to Arsenal and a 3-1 win over Real Madrid (figure that one out). Now AC Milan are here to ruin the party, and hopefully the Bavarians get some revenge for the 4-0 preseason drubbing from 2017.

If Niko Kovac could stop playing Thomas Muller at striker, then that would be nice. other than that, this preseason has been great so far. While there have been some setbacks (Ontuzans’ injury and Sven Ulreich’s red come to mind), the team have shown some solid performances and Kovac has given chances to some promising youngsters (Arp hype!).

Let’s hope Bayern continue their winning ways against Milan, and we keep seeing some good football.

It’s Bayern time.
