Reports in Spain have suggested David Alaba could leave FC Bayern Munich. However, Bild chief Christian Falk has denied the possibility of a transfer.
The Austrian left-back has been on the radar of FC Barcelona, and Mundo Deportivo recently claimed that the 27-year-old is what Ernesto Valverde requires in defense. The Spanish outlet argues that Ousmane Dembélé might be offered in exchange for Alaba.
Christian Falk, Head of Football at SportBild, however, has denied reports that the FC Bayern left-back could be leaving the club. According to Falk, no negotiations have taken place between FC Bayern and Barcelona. Apart from the possible departure of Jérôme Boateng, Die Roten will not sell any first team first player, and definitely not Alaba.
Alaba is now under new management, which includes Alaba’s father. Falk therefore suggests they are testing the market value of the 27-year-old, drawing interest from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, the recent transfers at the Spanish clubs suggest that a transfer isn’t viable during the current window.
