Early this week, Pep Guardiola said that he didn’t want any unhappy players at Manchester City and that Leroy Sané can decide himself if he wants to leave, hinting at the transfer-rumors linking Sané with Bayern Munich. Now Pep’s former boss, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, on the US-tour with the club, has responded. Patirck Strasser from AZ tweeted this:
@FCBayern-Boss #Rummenigge zur Situation um Leroy Sané: "Ich weiß nicht, ob Pep alles weiß, was in seinem Klub vorgeht. Keine Ahnung. Ich möchte hier keine Wasserstandsmeldungen abgeben. Wenn es was zu verkünden gibt, machen wir das. Aber das ist noch nicht so weit." #FCBayern— Patrick Strasser (@AZ_Strasser) July 20, 2019
@FCBayern-Boss #Rummenigge on Leroy Sané situation: “I don’t know whether Pep knows everything that goes on at his club. No idea. I’d rather not give any status updates here. When there is something to announce, we will. But this isn’t there yet.”
For KHR to say it this way, makes it sound like something is still in the works in the pursuit for Sané. And perhaps there is something coming soon. Or maybe he is just buying time until he can announce a different incoming transfer. Either way time is running out for Bayern to bring in the players to get them ready for the upcoming season.
