The FC Bayern Campus has announced the official signing of Sarpreet Singh from Wellington Phoenix and the departure of goalkeeping coach Uwe Gospodarek to VfB Stuttgart.

Becoming the first New Zealander to wear the jersey of Bayern Munich, attacking midfielder Sarpreet Singh will hope to make an immediate impact at his new club. Making a total of 25 appearances, scoring 5 goals and assisting 7 during the 18/19 A-League season, the talented 20-year-old will play and develop at Bayern II. Describing the New Zealand international as a “technically strong and very talented attacking midfielder,” Jochen Sauer is undoubtedly happy with the signing.

Leaving the campus, goalkeeping coach Uwe Gospodarek has joined VfB Stuttgart in the 2. Bundesliga. Previously a player for FC Bayern, Gospodarek returned as a coach in 2012. Coaching for the U-16, U-17, and U-19 teams during his tenure in Bavaria, the 45-year-old moves to pastures new. Gospodarek joins former Bayern U-17 and Bayern II coach, Tim Walter, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
