Bayern Munich is scouring rosters far-and-wide to find talented players that can supplement the club’s current squad. Per a report by The Mirror, the landscape that the Bavarians are monitoring includes Russia.
Fedor Chalov, a talented 21-year-old striker for CSKA Moscow, is the latest name to be attached to Bayern’s transfer target list. The competition for sign Chalov, however, is going to be staunch. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, AS Monaco, and Sevilla are all closely keeping an eye on the Russian international.
Liverpool have joined the race for £20million Russian rising-star Fedor Chalov. But they have fellow Premier League big-hitters Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United for company, with the CSKA Moscow striker on the radar of many of Europe’s top clubs. The 21-year-old is being tipped as Russian football’s star of the future with a goal record and lethal finishing ability that is attracting Germany’s leading clubs Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, as well as French side Monaco and Sevilla of Spain.
Chalov can operate as a lone striker or in an attacking midfield/second striker role like Thomas Muller. He also is a creative player, who can be flashy at times and has a true knack for finishing. It is fair to ask, however, does Chalov fill a need for the Bavarians and is Bayern really willing to pay the anticipated €22 million fee to get him?
Last season for CSKA Moscow, Chalov had 17 goals and seven assists across 37 games in all competitions. Two of Chalov’s goals came in the Champions League where he opened many eyes with his skill-set.
