In a bit of a shocking move, Bayern have apparently signed another young defender to reinforce their youth ranks. Liam Morrison, a 16-year-old defender for Celtic FC has agreed to leave his home country of Scotland to take a big step forward in his young career. The center back will face no shortage of competition at his position, but he has managed to make a name for himself, drawing interest from several Bundesliga clubs, including TSG Hoffenheim.
The youngster, who has represented Scotland as well as Celtic at the U17 level, first made a big name for himself back in 2017 when he captained a Celtic youth side to victory over Ajax in the prestigious Marc Overmars Tournament in Holland. He and even more-widely-known 16-year-old Karamoko Dembele (no relation to the multitude of Dembeles) were seen as key cogs for Celtic’s future plans, but skipper Neil Lennon will still get a tidy sum to reinforce his ranks elsewhere.
