Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will square off in the DFL-Supercup on August 3rd at Signal Iduna Park at 20:30 CET (3:30PM EST). The contest will mark the first competitive match of the 2019-2020 season and will feature the bitter rivals, who will each be showing off some new players.

Typically, the DFL-Supercup would be a match-up between the Bundesliga champion and the DFB-Pokal winner, but because the Bavarians won both competitions, Borussia Dortmund will slide into the fixture as it finished second during league play.

Dortmund will be welcoming Hoffenheim’s Nico Schulz, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Thorgan Hazard and Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt to an already deep and talented roster, while Bayern has added VfB Stuttgart’s Benjamin Pavard, Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez, and Hamburger SV’s Jann-Fiete Arp. By the time this game is played, however, there could be several more names to add to the list as both Bayern and Dortmund could still be active players in the transfer market.
