Klopp urged to get Werner (The Express)

Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison is trying to sway Jurgen Klopp into bringing RB Leipzig striker and Bayern Munich target Timo Werner to Anfield. Hutchison wants Liverpool to bring in some competition for Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane:

I would go for Timo Werner at RB Leipzig. It’s only a matter of time before Bayern Munich try and buy him. He’s the right age, he’s 23. Another one is Gonzalo Guedes at Valencia. He’d be good for them. I could see him in a Liverpool shirt.

While it has gone radio silent on the Werner-to-Bayern rumors, I think we’ll start to see some movement once international play is over. The quic turnaround from the DFB-Pokal to Germany team camp might have stifled some discussions.

Is the price set for Boateng? (The Mirror)

Jerome Boateng’s career with Bayern Munich might be coming to an end and Manchester United and Arsenal are both eager to bring in the veteran star. What is the going rate on a class defender who just happened to caught up in a roster overhaul? It looks like a cool €22.5 million.

Boateng’s contract isn’t up until the end of 2021 with the Bavaria club, but is now available for around £20 million. In 2018, a switch to Paris had been tipped, with a 32 million Euro offer tabled by PSG before Bayern upped their asking price wanting at least 38 million Euros.

Like it was last summer, Paris Saint-Germain will likely also be involved in any bidding on Boateng as well. Borussia Dortmund could also be a team for Boateng, should the defender not want to leave Germany.

Rafinha’s future looks to be with Flamengo (Transfer Market Web)

Caught up in this rumor regarding Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luis, it looks like the much anticipated move back to Brazil for Rafinha is going to happen.

Leaving Atletico Madrid as a free agent, after an overall eight season-long course, Brazilian international left-back Filipe Luis (33), as admitted by Flamengo vice-president, Marco Braz, has been targeted by Mengão. Former Chelsea runner has recently been linked to Barcelona FC and Bayer Leverkusen. On a side note, Flamengo are sealing the deal with another veteran flank player, Rafinha, who’s leaving Bayern Munich for good, on a free move as well.

The price on Leroy Sane is......INSANE! (Bavarian Football Works)

Yesterday, we ran this story where Bayern president Uli Hoeness said that the cost for Manchester City forward Leroy Sane was “insane.” For the last 24 hours all I have been able to think about (I have no life) is Uli recreating the old Crazy Eddie commercials from the 1980s that appeared on New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania television.

James calm despite cloudy future (Goal)

In a report that Goal captured from Marca Claro, Bayern’s James Rodriguez did not sound bothered about the uncertainty surrounding his club future.

I’m in selection mode now. I’m calm and I just want to think about the Colombia team and later we’ll see. Physically I’m very good. I believe I am doing very well already. I just wanted to get here well and I’m on a very good road.

James is playing for Colombia as it prepares for the upcoming Copa America competition and played 25 minutes against Panama, as Colombia emerged with a 3-0 victory.

ICYMI: Zlatan goes full Zlatan (@MLS)

LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is no stranger to displaying a flair for the dramatic. He did it once again on Sunday against the New England Revolution.

Muller fancies India in Cricket (@imVkohli)

Thomas Muller gave his support to India yesterday for the Cricket World Cup and India’s Virat Kohli thanked the Bayern star for the well wishes.

Dortmund offers Gotze lower wages to stay (Transfer Market Web)

Mario Gotze’s future with BVB has been in doubt a bit as the team plans financially for its future.

Turning 27 today, German attacking midfielder Mario Gotze, according to latest rumors, has been offered a lower-wage deal extension by Borussia Dortmund. Former Bayern Munich man, recently inquired about by Arsenal, might nonetheless decide to bid Bundesliga giants farewell anyways.

Juve might want to bring back Pogba (Sky Sports)

The “battle” between Real Madrid and Juventus to bring in Manchester United’s Paul Pogba could have a trickle down effect on the entire transfer market. Pogba is allegedly coveted by Los Blancos, but with the Old Lady now ready to get involved, things could get messy.

Juventus are interested in signing Paul Pogba back from Manchester United, according to Sky in Italy. The Italian champions have made contact with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola over a potential summer move for the France international. Sky in Italy understands that Manchester United have been informed of Juventus’ interest.

Messi wants Neymar back (RMC Sport)

FC Barcelona great Lionel Messi wants Neymar back from Paris Saint-Germain.

As announced by RMC Sport, in recent hours, Barça legend Lionel Messi has asked his managers to focus on Neymar’s return to Barcelona. A request that challenged its leaders, who considered it to be very utopian. However, according to information from RMC Sport, Barça has contacted PSG in recent days to find out if the door was open for the Brazilian to leave. But Barça found themselves facing a wall.

Well, that doesn’t sound promising.
