Paris Saint-Germain looking to swap Neymar for €150 million + Philippe Coutinho (Barca Blaugranes)

Barcelona are absolutely desperate to retool their squad this summer. Rumors have been running strong for weeks that they want to bring Neymar back to the club and sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. Originally, PSG were looking for a ridiculously high transfer fee for Neymar (We’re talking three. hundred. million. euros.), but it’s starting to sound like they’re willing to lower that amount significantly, if they can get a high quality player in return. Barcelona are reportedly more willing to part with Philippe Coutinho rather than Ousmane Dembele as part of that deal.

Tottenham offer Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid (MARCA)

Daniel Levy called Real Madrid and let them know that Christian Eriksen was available if the Spanish giants were interested in securing his services. The only catch was that Madrid would have to send €70 million to Tottenham in order to complete the transfer. That seems... a little absurd for a player who is out of contract in 12 months and refuses to renew with Tottenham. If that’s a deal that gets done, surely Madrid isn’t paying that amount for him... right?

UEFA bans Milan from the Europa League (Kicker)

Financial Fair Play rules have been violated, and UEFA is actually applying them? To a non-tiny club? Milan lost well over €200 million on transfers last year, and UEFA is actually going to punish them for violating rules. With Milan out of the Europa League now, Roma will enter the Group Stage of the tournament while Torino will enter in the Second Qualifying Round.

Tim Weah leaves PSG for Lille (Lille OSC)

The American international and sone of George Weah has officially transferred from Paris Saint-Germain to Lille for an estimated €10 million. That’s one of the biggest transfer fees ever paid for an American player.

Parma offer Mario Balotelli contract (Calcio Mercato)

The mercurial Balotelli could be on his way back to Italy after spending a few years in France. That is, of course, dependent on whether or not he has any interest in returning to Italy. The report states that Parma have offered a €2 million (plus bonuses) “take it or leave it” offer to him. He’s been more than solid in France for Nice and Marseille, so he can probably do the job back in Italy as well.

Women’s World Cup Roundup

The reigning European Champions Netherlands ended the Italian fairytale in France with a solid 2-0 victory. With Miedema and Martens pulling the strings, the Dutch are going to be a hard out for any team.

Germany scored first, but they were unable to find the net again as Sweden roared back to slay their Germany demon. What a performance from the Swedes. They march into the Semifinals and a match against the reigning European Champions.
