Per a report from Sport Bild, VfB Stuttgart center-back Ozan Kabak will spurn Bayern Munich in favor of Schalke 04.
According to Sport Bild information, the Turkish national player Ozan Kabak (19) is about to change to FC Schalke 04. After AC Milan and West Ham had played poker until the end, the decision for Schalke has now been made. Michael Reschke, who guided Kabak to Stuttgart last winter, works there as a squad planner.
The report comes on the heels of yesterday’s information that the situation between Kabak and Bayern Munich was “heating up” and that Bayern coach Niko Kovac had approved a potential move for Kabak. When push came to shove, though, Kabak seems to have opted for the club where he would have the best chance to be a regular.
Interesting: there was also a meeting with the Bayern bosses this week and Munich are said to have signaled great interest. However, (Bayern) wanted to gain clarity on the situation of another personality — it is to be assumed here that it was Jerome Boateng. But Kabak immediately wanted a decision. The highly talented central defender is drawn to the Royal Blues!
The report also goes on to state that Kabak could one-day find his way to Munich; it just won’t be in 2019-2020.
However, it is not excluded that one day his path leads him to Munich ...
If you were waiting for Sport Bild chief Christian Falk to chime in with his take, here you go:
True... (As I told you yesterday: Better wait and See) https://t.co/sxc59aYIBN

Kabak’s talent had drawn the interest of Schalke 04, Manchester United, Porto, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, West Ham United, and Monaco, but it looks as if he is destined to spend his immediate future in royal blue.
In addition to Sport Bild, kicker has also issued a report confirming the move. No official word has been released by Schalke or Stuttgart at this time.
