The Round of 16 of the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup is officially set to kick off on Sunday, June 2. Bayern Munich fans can keep their eyes on the club’s two players in the tournament: Marcel Zylla and Chris Richards.

Zylla and Poland advanced to the Round of 16 as the top ranked third place team after the group stage. They only managed one win out of their group, and that was against a clearly overmatched Tahiti side. A draw against Senegal in the final matchday is the only reason they find themselves in the Round of 16. They will face Italy on June 2.

Richards and the USA advanced after wins against Nigeria and Qatar. The Americans struggled in the opener against Ukraine but bounced back in the final two matches. While blame falls to him for losing his mark on one of the Ukraine goals, Richards was widely hailed as the standout player for the USA. They will face France on June 4.
