Leroy Sane, Manchester City contract talks collapse

The answer for Sane is Bayern Munich.

Stop the presses. There is another update on the Leroy Sane saga out of England. This time, it is courtesy of Simon Mullock of the Mirror publication. Apparently, the contract extension talks between Sane and Manchester City have “failed to bring a breakthrough”.

The report confirms previous reporting by Bild’s Christian Falk that Bayern Munich have yet to make an official offer for Sane’s services. That would put the kibosh on the reported €80 million bid that Bayern made.

Guardiola wants to keep Sane in the side, but only if the player wants to be there. If Sane wants to leave, Guardiola will not stand in his way.

While Man City haven’t received an official offer from Bayern at this time, they do expect one soon now that the contract talks have broken down. They are reportedly a little perturbed that Bayern started talking about Sane publicly before initiating contact over the transfer, but they are willing to deal.
