After being promoted in a nail-biting playoff match for the 3. liga, the hard work for the Bayern boys is just getting started. But Bayern Munich II received some bitter news after several players suffered injuries in addition to those already injured. The new season in the 3.Bundesliga is almost a month away and Bayern is already facing difficulties.
Bayern II had already suffered its first setback when their captain, Nicolas Feldhahn, missed training on Monday on account of a muscular problem. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Bayern will also have to make do with the loss of two more important players — Maximilian Franzke and Timothy Tillman.
According to FCBayern.com, Franzke will have to sit out the next few weeks after injuring a ligament in his right knee. The club did not add any details about the extent of the injury. Timothy Tillman, having recently returned from his loan to FC Nürnberg, has also unfortunately suffered a serious ankle injury. Tillman apparently has torn torn the syndesmosis ligament in his right ankle ligament and will undergo surgery in the coming days. How long exactly he will be sidelined is not yet unknown, but it will be a considerable amount of time. Kingsley Coman notably missed months after suffering the the same injury.
The 3.Bundesliga will kicks off on July 19th. Hopefully, most of the boys will be back in action by then!
