Muller receives HUGE offer (kicker)
Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has reportedly received a €25 million per year salary offer to play in China.
Thomas Muller has received an offer from China which, according to insiders, will earn him a whopping 25 million euros annually. A change seems unlikely despite this oversized revenue opportunity. Muller is said not to be attracted even by this fee. He is actually still too young and too good for the Chinese league.
Even with that absurd amount of money, it is hard to think that Muller makes a move to China any time soon.
Bale’s agent calls Bayern rumors “rubbish” (ESPN FC)
This report is going to make some of you VERY happy. The rumors regarding a potential move for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale to Bayern Munich have been called “rubbish” by Bale’s agent.
Bayern Munich have not made an approach to sign Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid, the player’s agent Jonathan Barnett told ESPN FC on Monday. The Wales international is reportedly one of the players expected to leave the Spanish giants this summer, and is considered surplus to requirements since the return of Zinedine Zidane as coach.
Reports in Spain had suggested Bayern were prepared to match Bale’s wages in order to take the player on loan as they look to strengthen their attack after losing Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery this summer. However, Barnett labelled these reports as “rubbish.”
For the record, if Real Madrid requested a reasonable fee for Bale, I’d absolutely take him on a loan for a year.
Jeong could be moving on (Fussball News)
Citing a report from kicker, Fussball News is reporting that SC Freiburg has heavy interest in Bayern winger Woo-Yeong Jeong.
SC Freiburg is still very interested in signing the highly talented wing player Woo-Yeong Jeong of FC Bayern Munich. But according to kicker information, the Breisgau team still has to be patient at the moment. There are several reasons for this: The South Korean is currently not in Germany and could therefore not undergo any sports medical examinations.
Bayern, however, wants a buy-back option as part of any deal. In addition, Jeong is not interest in a loan assignment.
The two clubs have not yet reached agreement on the important details. One thing is clear: Jeong wants to leave FC Bayern completely and not get involved in a loan. But the Munich team still hold the 19-year-old in high esteem and therefore want to secure a buy-back option.
Report confirms contact between Bayern and Rodri (kicker)
While there have been a lot of rumors stating that Bayern is interested in Atlético Madrid defensive midfielder Rodri, kicker is reporting that Atleti has been informed that there has been contact between its player and Bayern.
FC Bayern is interested in Atlético Madrid’s Rodrigo. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder could turn the Spanish duo (Thiago and Martinez) into a trio on his position. His current employer is informed about the contact between the Bavarians, the ideas between this prototype of a defensive midfielder and the German record champion have been exchanged. Rodrigo is bound to the Madrilenes until 2023, but could leave the club for 70 million euros. Former Bayern coach Pep Guardiola and Manchester City are the FCB’s biggest competitors for Rodrigo’s services.
Bayern chasing 16-year-old Scottish center back (Football Insider)
There is so much center-back news these days. Anyway, Bayern might be looking to bolster its youth ranks as rumored moves for Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng could be on the horizon.
Bayern Munich are closing in on the signing of highly-rated Celtic youngster Liam Morrison, Football Insider understands. The Scottish champions have been trying to tie down the defender, 16, to a professional deal, but he could now be headed for a glamorous move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs. A source with knowledge of Morrison’s situation has told Football Insider that Bundesliga giants Bayern are in pole position to sign Morrison this summer. Celtic will only receive minimal compensation from any overseas club for Morrison’s signature and his departure would come as a major blow to the Scottish champions.
Morrison is considered one of Celtic’s brightest young prospects and is a member of Scotland’s U-17 national team.
PSG open to selling off players with “superstar attitudes” (ESPN)
Hmmm...if Paris Saint-Germain is no longer willing to tolerate “superstar attitudes” from its players, they had better be ready to put a “For Sale” sign on each member of that roster.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain appear ready to cash in on Neymar this summer, according to French paper L’Equipe. Neymar has been linked with a move away from the French capital ever since he arrived in 2017 for a fee of €222m, and his employers would appear to have had enough of his attitude and propensity for injury, despite the fact he scored 51 goals in 58 games.
The 27-year-old has attracted attention from Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent weeks, while PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that the French champions will no longer tolerate superstar attitudes from their biggest players in a veiled threat to the Brazilian.
Neymar is believed to have grown frustrated with PSG’s lack of success in Europe and, if he does move to Spain, it could open the door for a sensational move to Paris for Atlético Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.
Kabak looking to leave (kicker)
It does not look like VfB Stuttgart center-back Ozan Kabak is going to stick around for a season in 2.Bundesliga. Kabak is currently mulling offers from Schalke 04 and West Ham United.
Ozan Kabak is looking for a new employer after the relegation of VfB Stuttgart and is still available for 15 million euros in July. According to kicker information, FC Schalke 04, among others, is interested in the defensive man in order to give their own defence more stability again. But there are also people interested in the 19-year-old on the island. West Ham United has stretched out its feelers to the Turk.
Bayern, of course, has been heavily linked to Kabak, but is having its own issues in planning which center-backs will be on the roster next season.
