Bayern Munich is looking to be active in this transfer window and the majority of its focus has seemingly been on Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. With Sane pushing off any decision on his future at least for a little while, Bayern is starting to look into contingency plans, which include some familiar names.

Back in January, reports started to circulate that the Bavarians had interest in former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, who has been starring for Dalian Yifang in China. Now, Sport Bild is reporting that Bayern’s interest in Carrasco has once again peaked given the uncertainty surrounding its pursuit of Sane.

His transfer in February 2018 was a surprise. Yannick Carrasco of Atlético Madrid had been courted by numerous top European clubs — and in the end chose the Chinese club Dalian Yifang. Less than a year and a half later, the Belgian left-winger wants to return to Europe. One interested party: FC Bayern!

Leroy Sané (23) from Manchester City is at the top of Munich’s shopping list. Carrasco is one of the candidates for Plan B. FC Arsenal is already very far along with the Belgian. Bavaria is now slipping in between. Carrasco costs around €30 million. But that wouldn’t be a problem for Munich.

The Mirror also had a report on Arsenal’s interest in Carrasco, which stated that the 25-year-old would cost €28 million.

Meanwhile, Sport Bild had information not only on Bayern’s interest in Carrasco, but also on Paris Saint-Germain’s on their interest in Julian Draxler, Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

Specifically, Sport Bild thinks that Hudson-Odoi will extend his stay at Stamford Bridge, while Bayern is willing to wait on Werner and push Draxler to move back to Germany.

Julian Draxler (25, Paris Saint-Germain), who is still ruling out a transfer, is also on Bayern’s list. Callum Hudson Odoi (18) also remains a topic. However, it looks as if he will extend his contract with Chelsea. Timo Werner (23) will very probably come from Leipzig. He only wants to go to Bayern. If there is no agreement with RB now, he will leave in 2020 on a free transfer.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild few weeks.
