Bayern ended the season with their heads held high as the disappointing Champions League exit was followed by Die Roten winning the double, the first since Pep Guardiola was in charge.
Niko Kovac has four weeks to prepare his men before the DFL Supercup at the Westfalenstadion. The team will be back at Säbener Strasse for a week before they go across the pond to compete in the Audi Summer Tour in the United States. The tournament starts for Bayern in the City of Angels (L.A.) where they will play recent Europa League losers Arsenal on the 17th of July. Three days later the team will travel to Houston where they will play Champions League record holders Real Madrid. Lastly, Kovac’s men will face AC Milan in Kansas City.
Seven days after the US Tour, Bayern will host the Audi Cup and play another friendly against Real Madrid, as well as the 2018/19 Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspurs and Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce. The DFL Supercup against Borussia Dortmund will be played on the 3rd of August. Bayern will have a training camp two days later in southern Bavaria in a town called Rottach-Egern near the Tegernsee. The exact duration of the training camp depends on when Bayern have their first match in the DFB Cup. The first round takes place August 9-12. Bayern’s opponent will be decided at the draw on June 15.
The Bayern players will, for now, have a deserved vacation, yet, the start of the highly anticipated season is around the corner!
