Per a report from Sport Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic would consider a move to Bayern Munich this summer. FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are tracking the 21-year-old closely, but might not quite be the apple of young Luka’s eye.
Jovic has been a breakout star in Europe this season with 26 goals and seven assists in 44 games across all competitions this season, which explains why he has so many big name suitors.
It is likely that Jovic will leave Eintracht in summer (despite his contract until 2023). Both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will be keeping an eye on him.
According to SPORT BILD, the attacker would also be interested in switching to FC Bayern. However, there is still no offer from Munich — although coach Niko Kovac wants to have the striker who already played under him in Frankfurt.
The Jovic-saga has taken several twists and turns in recent weeks. After Eintracht Frankfurt officially purchased the Serbia international from Benfica and subsequently extended his contract to 2023, Jovic’s father Milan stated that the phenom is happy with Die Adler and would be content with a longer stay in Frankfurt to refine his game. That, however, did not stop the La Liga power duo from continuing to pursue Jovic.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid became strongly linked to the striker, which ultimately led to both clubs feeling like they were used as a bargaining chip to drive up the price for clubs such as Bayern or Paris Saint-Germain.
But not so fast my friend! Bayern then allegedly took itself out of the Jovic sweepstakes, which put the Spanish twosome back in the saddle to land Jovic. Well, up until this most recent report that Jovic might be waiting for the Bavarians to break out their check book.
Stay tuned...you know there will be more to this story.
