Bavarian Podcast Works Episode 8: Yet another Doublesieger, plus an important survey

We wrap up the 2018-19 season and ask for help in a new survey for the future name of this podcast

Hello Bayern Munich fans, this will be the last episode of the podcast for a while after Bayern won the Pokal on Saturday.

However, this won’t be the last you hear from us. Over the summer we will release episodes recapping the entire Bundesliga season plus quick reactions to every transfer move that the Bavarians make this summer. We will also be testing ideas for new shows featuring new voices from other BFW contributors, so be sure to stay tuned for that.

We ask (probably begging at this point) for you, the fans to take our survey found at the bottom of this post. This will help this show fine-tune segments and will also help us come up with a new name for the show, as we re-brand the podcasting division.

As for this episode, Chuck and I bid adieu to the 2018-19 podcasting season by wrapping up the latest Bayern Munich campaign:

  • After 90 Minutes: After Bayern’s 19th Pokal win, Jake talks about how Timo Werner did bad in Leipzig’s 3-0 loss and (spoiler alert) Chuck defends Timo.
  • Bayern Recap: The guys discuss the best and worst moments of Die Roten’s season, including their takes on who was Bayern’s Most Valuable Player, Least Valuable Player, and Most Improved Player
  • Before We Go: The podcast team talks about new changes being made at the blog and about the future of the show.

Be sure to fill out the fan survey found here, and follow us on Twitter @BavarianFBWorks, @jeffersonfenner and @TheBarrelBlog.

Also, to stay in the loop with the podcast team this summer, make sure to follow and subscribe to the podcast channel on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google and anywhere else you get your quality audio content.

Thank you all so much for the support, and we will be back with full episodes and new content next season!

UPDATE: We had some technical difficulties where the episode had originally cut out at around the 20 minute mark and have “fixed the glitch.”
