Bayern Munich’s upcoming DFB-Pokal semifinal against Werder Bremen will come at a very interesting time as details were released this morning. The Bavarians will travel to the Weserstadion for a Wednesday night tilt against Die Werderaner on April 24th at 20:45 CEST (3:45PM EST).

The match will take place at a very compelling juncture for both squads as the teams will hook-up for a Bundesliga fixture just four days earlier on Saturday April 20th at the Allianz Arena.

Werder Bremen has been one of the most riveting teams to watch develop over the course of the season as Max Kruse has embraced a true leadership role with the squad, while Milot Rashica and Maximilian Eggestein have been two of the biggest breakout stars in the Bundesliga this season.

Werder Bremen also features 19-year-old American Josh Sargent, who has been fighting for playing time of late in an effort to establish himself in a top tier league. Sargent has two goals in 10 first team appearances for Werder Bremen.

Bayern loanee Marco Friedl also is on the Werder Bremen roster, but has only made six appearances across all competitions this season.
