KIT LEAK: New pictures of Bayern Munich’s 2019/2020 pre-match top

Lava bleach stains, anyone?

Gallery: Photos of Bayern Munich’s new 2016-17 home kits

We’ve already seen the basic design concept for Bayern Munich's 2019/2020 pre-match top, but Footy Headlines have gotten a hold of some new pictures, so we can get a better glimpse at what it’s going to look like.

In the last two months, we’ve already seen what the pre-match top will look like, what the third kit for next season will look like, and Adidas’s special edition, retro “Icon” long-sleeve jersey. By the end of the season, we’ll likely know what Bayern’s home and away kits are going to be for next season to round out the core wardrobe for 2019/2020.

The first available picture that surfaced for the pre-match top looked like this:

Now, the new pictures give us a more complete look at the top:

Aesthetically, this top is certainly going to remind people of bleach stains, but there should be an appreciation for Adidas’s attempts at creativity. For one, pre-match tops, by design, have to be very different from the actual match jerseys themselves. In the past two seasons, we’ve already seen pinstripes and different types of graphic designs in our pre-match jerseys, so they had to be switched up.

Like last season’s main pre-match top, this one is also a continuation in Adidas’s Parley collaboration to help raise awareness for reducing plastic waste in the world’s oceans. The inside neck even features the “For the Oceans” slogan all the way around.

Just a thought, if you personally buy this top once it’s available, the unique, bleach-stain patterns of light and darker reds might make it difficult to detect sweat stains if you work out in it.

Nonetheless, what’s most important is the team badge on the front. That alone makes it something special if you ask me.

DISCLAIMER: The 3rd picture in the slideshow is modeled with navy blue shorts but there’s no indication as to whether or not those shorts will accompany the top or not. It could just be for the sake of the picture.
