After yesterday’s scare, Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso will work out on his own today. Tolisso collided with Thiago Alcantara and went down in a heap grasping his surgically repaired right knee.
Initially, Tolisso tried to continue to practice, but eventually exited the session early. Bayern’s medical staff assessed the situation and opted to have Tolisso train on his own today.

Tolisso’s return to the lineup has been anticipated, but it still seems a bit premature considering the extent of his injury, the subsequent recovery, and the long career ahead of the 2018 World Cup winner. Tolisso sustained the initial injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in September against Bayer Leverkusen and has been working diligently to return to the lineup.
Yesterday could be considered a minor set back on the road to recovery, but hopefully the 24-year-old’s luck can change a bit. While a return to the lineup this season is not pertinent to the team for this season, it is undoubtedly something the player is striving for as the squad enters the home stretch of the season.
