In February, Bayern Munich made an official announcement that it had reached a deal with Hamburger SV center forward Jann-Fiete Arp and that the talented 19-year-old would have a flexible transition date where he could join the Bavarians in either 2019 or 2020.
Per a report by SportBild, Arp has allegedly made the decision to join Bayern sooner rather than later. Arp is expected to join Bayern this summer, but what his role will be under Niko Kovac will likely have to be determined upon arrival.

Last month it was speculated that Arp might be ready for a change of scenery given the tumultuous season that he has had with Hamburger SV. In 18 games with the first team, Arp has tallied just one goal and two assists.
Arp has recently been spending time with Hamburg’s second team and would seemingly be a candidate to back-up Robert Lewandowski with Bayern or even take a loan assignment to a destination where he could receive consistent first-team minutes.
Arp also has been a member of the Germany U19 team since last November where he has featured under coach Guido Streichsbier and worn the captain’s armband.
When additional details emerge on the rationale for the timing of the move, Bavarian Football Works will produce a new post.
