RB Salzburg coach Marco Rose has built a very solid reputation for himself over the past few years. Leading what is considered to be the “B” side of the Red Bull footballing empire, Rose has shown the ability to develop talent, build a team, and achieve success.

Now, the 42-year-old will take over at Borussia Monchengladbach next season in place of outgoing coach Dieter Hecking.

Rose, of course, has been mentoring heralded 18-year-old midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, who has been linked to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, FC Augsburg brought in Martin Schmidt yesterday.

Bayern interested in Umtiti? (Don Balon)

It’s never too early for Don Balon. The Don is reporting that Bayern Munich could make a place for FC Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.

Bayern is considering the signing of another central defender from La Liga, but this time from Barcelona. Samuel Umtiti has called the attention and they have 70 million euros to (acquire) him, but the Catalan club wants 80 million euros for him.

Gundogan to Bayern? (TEAMtalk)

There have been rumors that Bayern is looking too add a central midfielder in the summer transfer window. Could Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan fill that void?

Manchester City contract rebel Ilkay Gundogan is reportedly a summer transfer target for Bayern Munich. The Germany midfielder is yet to pen a new deal at The Etihad despite extensive talks with City officials.

Now though, according to Sky in Germany, Bayern are watching developments closely and could launch a move for Gundogan in this summer’s transfer window. That would come as a huge blow to Guardiola, who is already on the lookout for a holding player to replace Fernandinho long-term.

United’s dream transfer list includes some familiar names (Sport Bild)

Bayern has been linked to Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but those players plus West Ham United’s Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho appear to be on Manchester United’s wish list for the summer transfer window.

Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho (19), Callum Hudson-Odoi (20 / Chelsea FC), Declan Rice (20 / West Ham) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (21 / Crystal Palace) are said to be Manchester United’s dream players, according to “The Mirror.
