Bayern Munich’s David Alaba and Manuel Neuer did not train with the team today as both players are still trying to work their way back from injuries.
Neuer is dealing with a calf injury, while Alaba has been dealing with a “muscular problem.” Surely, Bayern coach Niko Kovac would love to have both players back in the lineup this week as the squad will face-off against Heidenheim on Wednesday in the DFB-Pokal, along with hosting Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker on Saturday. The Bundesliga showdown with BVB should play a huge part in determining the league champion.

Kovac also provided an update on Corentin Tolisso, who is back in team training, but has yet to be deemed ready for game action:
Corentin Tolisso is making good progress and looks supple. The knee is also looking good. We’ll increase his workload each day and he needs to decide when he is ready mentally. We hope he will play this season.
Kovac had this to say regarding his team’s rugged week:
We need to reach the semifinal - we don’t play BVB until after Heidenheim. We won’t underestimate anyone, FCH are very robust. A win on Wednesday will create a good atmosphere.
