Report: Klopp’s club makes official contact with Leipzig for Werner (talkSPORT)

Liverpool has allegedly made its official contact with RB Leipzig in an effort to land Timo Werner (as reported by Bild and captured by talkSPORT).

Liverpool have contacted RB Leipzig over the availability of Timo Werner, according to reports. The Germany striker has scored 13 times this season and is being monitored by Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Werner, whose Leipzig contract runs out in 2020, is believed to have been offered a double-your-money deal by the club to fend off interest from Bayern and Liverpool. German outlet Bild claim the Reds have contacted Leipzig to “signal their interest” in the 23-year-old.

Werner, of course, is considered to be a primary target for Bayern Munich, while Paris Saint-Germain is also allegedly in the mix.

Ajax confirms postseason departure for De Ligt (SportBild)

SportBild captured a story by AS where Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars confirmed that 19-year-old center back prodigy Matthijs de Ligt will leave the Netherlands after the season.

He can easily play in one of the six best teams in the world. He has the power, the mentality, the heart. We do not have to sell him, we do not need the money, but I know he’s going to be one of the big ones.

De Ligt has been linked to Bayern, FC Barcelona, Juventus, and Real Madrid among others in recent months.

Inter has eyes on Kroos (Transfer Market Web)

It has not been a banner year for Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos, but that is not stopping Inter Milan from trying to bring in the Germany international.

While having a hard time bringing in either Luka Modric or Ivan Rakitic, Inter Milan club leaders are now aiming to sign German international deep-lying midfielder Toni Kroos (29). Playing for Real Madrid since 2014/15, former Bayern Munich playmaker seems eager to experience a new venture.

Creed star is a Bayern fan (@FCBayernUS)

Whoa...whoa...whoa....not Scott Stapp. I’m talking about the movie series, not the band. Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, who played Viktor Drago in Creed 2 is a lifelong Bayern fan and got to meet Giovane Elber.

English team jumping in on Jovic (SportBild)

Per Marca (as captured by SportBild), Arsenal will make a play for Eintracht Frankfurt scoring machine Luka Jovic.

According to “Marca” information, FC Arsenal have now joined the race for Eintracht striker Luka Jovic. Previously, FC Bayern and Barça had been linked to a Serbian commitment.

Bernat is irate over PSG result against United (@JuanG_Arango)

Former Bayern man and current PSG left back Juan Bernat was not happy about the controversial VAR-influenced win by Manchester United yesterday, which dropped Paris Saint-German from the Champions League.

And yes, Bernat performed pretty well for PSG over the course of its run in the Champions League.

United linked to alleged Bayern target (SportBild)

Manchester United is still probably riding the wave of dumping PSG yesterday, but hasn’t lost focus on seeking out ways to improve its team. The Red Devils are reportedly to looking to bring in Juventus man Paulo Dybala to compliment Romelu Lukaku.

United are looking forward to Paulo Dybala, who will not replace Lukaku 1-1, but would nevertheless significantly strengthen the Red Devils’ offense.

Manolas back on Bayern’s radar (Transfer Market Web)

AS Roma center back Kostas Manolas had been linked to Bayern a few months back, but his name is once again being bandied about for the Bavarians.

More and more likely to leave AS Roma after season’s over, after five years, Greek international center back Kostas Manolas (27), already tracked by most Premier League main clubs, has been targeted by Bayern Munich as well, according to latest German news. Currently on a deal with Giallorossi until June 2022, Manolas, earning an almost 2 million euros annual salary at the time, is planning to demand a 3€m one, in order to accept a move.

With VfB Stuttgart’s Benjamin Pavard already coming in and the current trio of Niklas Sule, Mats Hummels, and Jerome Boateng under contract, it will be interesting to see what is fake vs. what is reality for Bayern’s transfer wishes as it pertains to central defenders.

The Bavarians have been linked to other center backs like De Ligt, Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez, Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar, and others over the past few months, while also have two very good prospects in-house with Lars Lukas Mai and Chris Richards.
