Joshua Zirkzee is getting more and more attention. On March 1st, the Dutch jewel scored a hat trick in his debut for FC Bayern Munich’s U23 team. In the absence of top talents Woo-Yeong Jeong, Mertian Shabani and Lars Lukas Mai, the 17-year-old emerged to immensely help his team.
Only one day later, Zirkzee came on in 70th minute for FC Bayern U19s when they played against Nurnberg and scored the winning goal to make it 2:1!

The young striker, who moved from the youth system of Feyenoord Rotterdam to Bayern in the summer of 2017, remains modest and continues to praise his colleagues:
We played well. To score five goals and to concede only one — that says it all!
Zirkzee has been quite incredible for Bayern juniors this season. In 13 appearances in A-Junior Bundesliga South/Southwest he scored 11 goals and had two assist. Zirkzee is just behind Maxi Breunig who scored 14 times in 18 appearances. In total, Zirkzee has scored 20 goals and has seven assists in just 24 appearances.
As TZ informs us, after his ‘‘super sub’’ performance Zirkzee was asked where would he rather play for the rest of the season end?
I play for Bayern and it makes me very happy. It does not matter to me.
But the young Dutchman is ambitious and expresses his desire to play ‘‘as soon as possible’’ in Bundesliga with the professionals. If his form continues to develop exponentially, it will be no surprise to see him with Bayern’s first team soon enough.
