Not this again: Real Madrid reportedly wants Robert Lewandowski

Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in.

Spanish website El Espanol is reporting that Real Madrid is going to try and rekindle an old flame with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The appointment of Zinedine Zidane seems to have re-ignited the sparks that once flew in Madrid for the Polish Hitman. While it is said that the Poland international is happy in Munich and that the Bavarians are trying to extend Lewandowski’s current deal, the Spanish media is trying to make a love connection of sorts.

Megavisión Deportes picked up on the story and featured it within the tweet below:

Real Madrid has added a new name to the endless list of candidates who appear every day as future signings for the new Zinedine Zidane project. The last, according to the website of El Español, is Robert Lewandowski, the striker of Bayern Munich.

Sure Bayern has already started its roster overhaul, as the club has signed Jann-Fiete Arp, and has also been heavily linked to both RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jovic, but are the Bavarians ready to part ways with the 30-year-old star? It seems like just another Spanish lullaby.
