Buckle up everyone, we have a whole host of Callum Hudson-Odoi news for you. The England youngster is coveted by Bayern Munich, and his parent club Chelsea is desperate to keep him. Now we have three new reports — two English and one German — regarding the player’s future. Let’s dive in!

Report 1: Chelsea will not let Hudson-Odoi leave no matter what

A report by the Times alleges that the Blues are so adamant about keeping their youth player that they are willing to risk letting him run down his contract and lose him for free. Hudson-Odoi is still committed to leaving Chelsea, and we’ve had reports that he is willing to wait out the remainder of his contract (which runs until the summer of 2020) and leave for free.

If this report is true, then it puts a wrench into Bayern Munich’s plans to acquire the young winger. Money isn’t an issue here, but the Bavarians need Hudson-Odoi’s talents next season, after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery have left the club. The club cannot wait for CHO to run down his contract — otherwise, that would have been our first course of action.

The report also reiterates Manchester United’s interest in the youngster, which is in some ways good for Bayern. Chelsea will be loath to lose their rising star to an EPL rival, and at least by selling him to Bayern Munich, they can be sure that he’ll be out of their hair forever. After all, Bayern doesn’t play in the Europa League.

Report 2: Hudson-Odoi will be much more expensive than before

Okay, this came to light at the time of writing this article so I’m just putting it in. Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com (considered a reliable source for Chelsea transfer news) says that Hudson-Odoi will not be allowed to leave for an EPL club, but he will also be much more expensive because of his England debut.

Report 3: Bayern Munich have bid €40m for the player, but Chelsea want €50m

In a report by Tobias Altschaffl (one of the more reliable Sport Bild reporters), we learn that Bayern Munich have bid up to €40m for Hudson-Odoi, but that is still not enough for Chelsea. The Londoners may be willing to negotiate at a starting price of €50m.

This is a little bit hard to believe, since we were told throughout the summer that Chelsea wanted €39m for the youngster, but when Bayern unexpectedly matched their price, Chelsea said no anyway. Hopefully €50m is the final number that the Blues settle on — it is certainly well within Bayern’s means.

This transfer saga has been such a roller coaster. We can’t wait for it to be over.
