Bayern eyeing Mittelstadt (Sport 1)

Hertha Berlin left back Maximilian Mittelstadt is reportedly being looked at by Bayern Munich, but the Bavarians are not alone in scouting the Germany U21 international. Juventus is reportedly also keeping a close eye on Mittelstadt.

Recently circulated rumors that Bayern have him on their list. According to, Juventus Turin also is watching Mittelstaedt watch.

With Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez allegedly on his way to Munich to bolster the roster at center back and left back, along with incumbent starter David Alaba, it is a bit hard to see where Mittelstadt might fit in even without factoring in that Marco Friedl is slated to return from his loan stint at Werder Bremen this summer.

Colombia coach urges James to join Juventus (Don Balon)

It’s a Don Balon kind of day. Per the Don, Colombia coach Carlos Queiroz thinks Bayern Munich’s James Rodriguez should join Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.

The strategist recommended the lefthander not return to Real Madrid and accept the offer of Juventus. Queiroz is convinced that with Cristiano Ronaldo he can do great things in Italy.

Admit it, you missed Don Balon.

Kovacic’s agent offered him to Bayern (

The agent for Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic proactively offered him to both Bayern and Inter Milan, but found the response to be “lukewarm.”

The midfielder’s representatives immediately probed the ground with Inter and Bayern Munich. Lukewarm answers so far, especially from Milan.

Kovacic is currently on loan at Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid, but speculation is that Zinedine Zidane does not have the 24-year-old in his plans for next season.
