Bayern Munich left-back and Austria international is experiencing “ongoing muscular issues” while competing in the Euro 2020 qualifiers. The injury is not thought to be serious, but the 26-year-old will not travel with Austria for its next game against Israel, which is slated to take place on Sunday March 24th at Sammy Ofer Stadium.
In the absence of a natural understudy at left-back, any injury to Alaba is serious news for the Bavarians. Recently, Alaba had been battling “tendon irritation” with Bayern, which caused him to miss games against Borussia Monchengladbach and VfL Wolfsburg. No doubt, the Austrian has had a bit of bad luck of late with his health.
