Premier League powers want James (AnfieldHQ.com)

Manchester United and Liverpool are both say to be willing to pay a premium for Bayern Munich’s James Rodriguez.

Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez. The Reds have been touted as possible contenders for the Columbian’s signature in the past, but rumours have begun to circulate that they could be in for him again this summer.

However, should any move materialize, it could cost Jurgen Klopp upwards of £70million to sign him. The 27-year-old, however, wants to return to Madrid at the end of his two-year spell in Munich, though the arrival of Zinedine Zidane could impact on the chances of that happening. Both Liverpool and United are waiting in the wings to see if Bayern opt to sign the midfielder, and could move for him quickly if it’s discovered that the Germans choose not to pursue his signature. They have until June 15th to decide.

Early report: Gotze out, Eggestein in for Die Mannschaft (SportBuzzer)

With the Germany national team expected to be announced shortly, some early leaks are coming out.

For the time being, Mario Götze does not return to the squad of the German national team. National coach Joachim Low renounces a nomination of BVB professionals. Werder Bremen’s Maximilian Eggestein, on the other hand, is about to make his debut in the DFB team.

Also, Low is in a train delay so the announcement of the team has been pushed back a bit.

Leipzig implements Werner contingency plan with Poulsen extension (@RBLeipig_EN)

With Timo Werner rumored to be going anywhere from Bayern to Liverpool to Juventus to any other number of clubs, RB Leipzig extended the contract of Yussuf Poulsen yesterday until 2022.

Schalke should have just Uber’d (@manuelveth)

That must have been a bitter pill to swallow as Schalke 04 had to fly home from Manchester on Borussia Dortmund’s jet.

For Domenico Tedesco, his last flight as Schalke head coach was on that bird and clearly, it was an albatross for the 33-year-old coach.
