Even with a very Bundesliga-centric squad that has some quality talent and depth, Austria will face a long road ahead of it as it pertains to qualifying for the World Cup. Austria will host Poland on Thursday March 21st at Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna and will then travel to Haifa for a match at Sammy Ofer Stadium on March 24th.
Alaba will certainly play a key and vital role for the Austrians as he is the team’s most recognizable and highly-regarded player.
