Report: Elevator is a Bayern Munich fan, strands Liverpool players

Any chance that Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, and a few others can use that elevator tomorrow?

In a bizarre occurrence that was captured on video, Liverpool found some of its key players stranded in an elevator yesterday per ESPN FC.

If only this slick elevator had waited just a couple of days to pull its hijinx and possibly keep a few key players off of the pitch when Die Roten visits Anfield tomorrow.

With a massive Champions League tie against Bayern Munich at Anfield on the cards this week, Liverpool could probably have done without any slapstick mishaps in the build-up. However, as shared by Dejan Lovren on Instagram, it would appear that several of the Reds’ first-team players had the misfortune of getting trapped in a broken elevator together on Sunday afternoon.

Lovren posted a video of himself, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Alberto Moreno and Roberto Firmino after realising they were stuck.

As noted above, Lovren supplied video coverage of the event:

There is no word on the make or model of the elevator, but we can only surmise it was the product of some crafty — and forward thinking — German engineering.
