Bayern Munich announced that Frauen midfielder Lina Magull had officially signed a contract extension to keep her in Munich through the summer of 2022. Magull’s contract was previous set to expire in 2021.
The midfielder has featured in 44 games for Bayern since joining the club in 2018 and has scored 14 goals. So far this season, Magull has bagged 2 goals in the Bundesliga and 2 goals in the Champions League.
Magull turned 25 this summer and already is pushing a decade of experience playing professionally. After cutting her teeth in the second division with FSV Gütersloh 2009, Magull moved to Wolfsburg. After a successful stint with the German powerhouse, Magull moved to SC Freiburg to continue her development as a professional.
Having already wont the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and Champions League twice each, Magull is looking to add to her trophy case with Bayern. “Of course it remains my desire to win a title with the team. To do so, you have to be prepared to trust a certain process, and I am.”
