Bavarian Loan Works: Fein picks up assist in HSV loss; Evina, Uerdingen take a point; Karatas still out for Memmingen

It wasn’t the best week for Bayern Munich’s loanees with zero wins in three matches.

Adrian Fein — Hamburg SV — 2.Bundesliga

As usual, Fein started in the middle of the park for Hamburg and went the distance. Unfortunately, this time HSV were on the receiving end of a 2-1 loss thanks to Osnabrück. Fein, however, did pick up an assist on Sonny Kittel’s goal with a lovely ball over the top. Kittel did his best Robert Lewandowski impression to bring it down and score. The loss means that HSV have now slipped out of first place and are three points behind new leaders Arminia Bielefeld.

Franck Evina — KFC Uerdingen — 3.Liga

Evina started and played 79 minutes in Uerdingen’s 1-1 draw with Chemnitzer FC. Evina has worked himself right back into a starting spot after missing a few weeks due to the U-23 African Cup of Nations tournament. Uerdingen have 23 points and are in 11th place in the table.

Can Karatas — FC Memmingen — Regionalliga Bayern

Memmingen lost a close 1-0 affair to VfB Eichstätt. Karatas is still out due to injury. The loss has Memmingen down on only 18 points in 17th place. That’s not the place you want to be in an 18 team league.
