Uli Hoeness was against hiring Sebastian Hoeness to coach FCBII (AZ)
According to a report by AZ, current Bayern Munich II coach Sebastian Hoeness had one big opponent to his appointment, and that was his uncle Uli. Hoeness confirmed in an interview with SZ that his uncle was less than impressed with the idea of appointing him as coach, for obvious reasons. It was actually Hermann Gerland who had to convince the club to hire Sebastian, despite Uli’s reluctance.
Bayern II currently sit at 11th place in the 3.Liga table, following their 1-1 draw in the Munich derby last Sunday. Speaking of which ...

Napoli President De Laurentiis fines team €2.5m for mutiny (ESPN)
As Carlo Ancelotti’s team sputtered on all fronts, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis ordered Napoli to take a week-long training retreat. But Ancelotti was opposed to the idea, and the players refused to take part. That now will cost them:
Sources have told ESPN FC that De Laurentiis has begun legal proceedings on Monday to fine every member of the first team squad, apart from Kevin Malcuit who has been recovering from a serious knee injury, 25% of their monthly salary — the maximum penalty allowed.
The fines total over €2.5m.
In the meantime, the team is under a media blackout. They play Liverpool on Wednesday, and Ancelotti normally would be required to give a press conference under UEFA rules. It will be interesting to see whether he does and, if so, what he says.
Eriksen bolting Tottenham for free agency (Nicolò Schira)
Christian #Eriksen has rejected a #Tottenham’s bid for renewing his contract until 2024 (wages of €9M a year). In summer he will leave as a free agent. #Inter, #PSG and #RealMadrid are really interested in him. #transfers #THFC

This is not especially surprising news, given Eriksen’s refusal to sign to date. The rumors linking the midfielder to Bayern Munich — never very plausible — seem to have cooled, as well.
Real Madrid to offer 120m + Mariano for Jadon Sancho (Don Balol)
No Schmankerl is truly complete without the madness of Don Balon. Today’s latest rumor? Florentino Perez will offer Borussia Dortmund 120m euros + Mariano Diaz to secure the signing of Jadon Sancho this summer. The kicker? This move is apparently their backup if they fail to sign Kylian Mbappe.
Never change, Don.
