Bavarian Loan Works: Adrian Fein and HSV top the table; Franck Evina and Uerdingen put in work; Can Karatas is still injured

When Bayern Munich sends their kids out on loan, the expectation is that they will play minutes. The current crop of players is, in fact, getting those minutes.

Adrian Fein — Hamburg SV — 2.Bundesliga

At the end of Matchday 14 in the 2.Bundesliga, Adrian Fein and Hamburg SV are sitting on top the table after a 2-1 victory over Dynamo Dresden gave them their sixth win in a row at home.

Fein went the distance (again) in this one, and the midfielder maintains his place among the best players in the entire division, according to Kicker. The kid continues to look like a stud.

Franck Evina — KFC Uerdingen — 3.Liga

KFC Uerdingen beat Würzburger Kickers 2-1 to move into 11th place on 22 points. Franck Evina played 73 minutes and contributed to the first goal of the match, when his corner kick was eventually scored by Tom Boere. This was a big win for Uerdingen. They came into the season with a lot of expectations and have’t been up to snuff so far. Now, there’s some breathing room between them and the relegation zone, so we’ll see if they can continue a march up the table.

Can Karatas — FC Memmingen — Regionalliga Bayern

Can Karatas is still injured, so he didn’t play in Memmingen’s 4-3 loss to table toppers Türkgücü München. Memmingen have crawled their way out of the relegation zone in recent weeks but are only “safe” thanks to goal differential.
