Good news on the injury front for Kingsley Coman for once: after suffering an apparent injury in France’s 2-1 Euro 2020 qualifier against Moldowa, Coman had left France’s international camp to return to Munich early, skipping their final game against Albania. Bayern subsequently revealed that Coman had only a minor case of “neurogenic muscle hardening.”
Now Coman is already back out on the pitch preparing to rejoin team training. Currently, only a skeleton crew is at Säbener Strasse: backup goalkeepers Sven Ulreich and Ron-Thorben Hoffman, Thomas Müller, Jerome Boateng, Michael Cuisance, Javi Martínez, Benjamin Pavard, and Alphonso Davies. Corentin Tolisso was there, too, but he only warmed up with the group, having played (and scored) in France’s recent match against Albania.
Coman meanwhile made the rounds on an adjoining pitch in the company of fitness and rehab coach Thomas Wilhelmi. Depending on how training goes this week, he could be available for Bayern’s next league game against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday.
Starting your Tuesday off with some good news from Säbener this morning!
