Dennis Geiger is a talented midfielder from TSG Hoffenheim and is already considered one of the most talented players of his generation. His latest performances have made Joachim Löw and Bayern Munich take a closer look at his development.

Even though Löw is preparing for the last qualifying match for EURO’s, he found time to watch Geiger’s performance for the U21 Germany squad. Löw said,

He played well. His technique is good and he has developed well, he is a player with great prospects, and we are constantly evaluating all U21 national team players.

As per Sport1, Bayern Munich has also shown interest in the midfielder. After Hoffenheim’s sensational victory at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 7, he was singled out for praise by the former coach Niko Kovač himself. Geiger showed strength and proved that he is a great prospect, contributing an assist to Hoffenheim’s coup in Munich. But Bayern isn’t the only club that is interested in the services of the youngster. Rumor has it that Pep Guardiola is also very keen to bring Geiger to Manchester City.

His former teammate and ex-Bayern player Sandro Wagner also has only words of praise for the youngster. They played together in Hoffenheim until the end of 2017. Wagner said,

Dennis is a good boy, whom I initially perceived as polite and shy in the dressing room, but — in a good way — all the more cheeky on the pitch.

The big man who now plays in the Chinese Super League for Tianjin Teda also commented on his physique.

Geiger is already extremely calm for his age, but he still has to work on his physique. I’m sure: If he reaches a similar quality to Kimmich’s, he can become a great player.

In Hoffenheim, Geiger currently has a contract until 2022 — according to Sport1’s information, without an exit clause. Under Hoffenheim’s coach Alfred Schreuder, Geiger has made nine Bundesliga appearances and delivered three assists.
