RMC Sport has reported that Kingsley Coman has suffered a muscle strain in the thigh. The injury occurred in the last minutes of France’s unimpressive 2-1 victory against Moldova, a game where Coman started.

The Paris native did not travel to Albania with the rest of his French teammates, as Les Bleus will have to do without the Bayern winger in their game tomorrow. It is yet undecided whether Coman will stay in Paris or travel back to Munich.

The seriousness of the injury is not yet confirmed, as neither the French national team nor Bayern Munich have yet to comment. It is unfortunate for Coman, who has so far been injury-free this season. Extremely injury-prone, Coman has struggled with serious injuries for much of his young career and his last only came in June this year.

He discussed his injury history in a candid interview with Le Parisien just days ago.

Although the seriousness of the injury is so far pure speculation, one wouldn’t be surprised if it keeps the winger on the sidelines for a couple of weeks.

UPDATE: Only a case of muscle hardening (FCBayern.com)

Kingsley Coman left the French team after he came out of France’s game against Moldova with muscular complaints. After returning to Munich, however, Bayern Munich announced that Coman’s discomfort is little more than that. The club press release states,

A detailed examination by club physician Dr. Hans Müller-Wohlfahrt in Munich on Saturday revealed a neurogenic muscle hardening in his thigh. Coman will undertake a reduced training programme for the next few days.
