Fiete Arp’s season at Bayern Munich has been postponed yet again. Literally in his training comeback after recovering from a broken bone in his left hand that required an operation, Arp fell down hard and suffered a new injury. This time, the diagnosis is a “small bone fragment off the radius in his left forearm” (FC Bayern).
Der #FCBayern muss erneut auf Fiete #Arp verzichten. Er hat im Training eine kleine, knöcherne Absprengung der Speiche im linken Unterarm erlitten.

Gute Genesung, Fiete!https://t.co/mZD6fg42au
Sport1 reports that the club is anticipating a recovery time of three to four weeks. Arp has to wear a cast (again), but this time he fortunately does not require an operation.
Bayern’s last game this year takes place on December 21 against Wolfsburg, and Bayern II’s final game, against the Würzburger Kickers, takes place on December 22. If Arp’s recovery drags on even slightly more than anticipated, he could thus be done for the Hinrunde. It’s a fair question whether he’d play at all anyway, since he has virtually been unable to gain any playing momentum this season on account of a nasty sickness followed by his injuries.
He has not played at all for the first team and just 69 minutes for Bayern II.
Here’s to hoping! We wish Arp another speedy recovery and a happier 2020.
