Two goals from Sarpreet Singh were enough to see Bayern Munich II through to their sixth win of the season. The match was a massive response to last week’s epic collapse against SV Meppen.
Singh grabbed his opening goal in the 21st minute thanks to some good play on the sideline around midfield by Kwasi Wriedt to keep the ball in play. He got the ball into space for Jannik Rochelt to run onto and start the attach for Bayern. Rochelt found Singh all alone at the top of the box, and Singh took one touch before putting it out of the reach of the Magdeburg goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Singh’s second goal came at the half-hour mark. After some great/lucky work from Rochelt and Derrick Köhn, the ball found its way to Singh in the penalty area, and he finished his second of the match and fourth of the season.
Bayern XI: Früchtl - Richards, Feldhahn, Mai, Köhn - Dajaku, Will, Kern (79. Welzmüller), Rochelt (64. Cuisance) - Singh, Wriedt (88. Nollenberger)
In the 69th minute, Magdeburg found a wonder-goal from the boot of Sören Bertram to pull one back, but that was all it was to be for them on the day.

The victory moves Bayern II from 15th in the table up into 9th place. They’re currently tied on points with 8th place Viktoria Köln but trail them on goal differential. When the clubs return from the international break, it is FINALLY time for the Munich Derby when Bayern II take on 1860 Munich’s senior team.
