Franck Ribery was sure to laud Jadon Sancho’s play calling him a “good player,” but the King of France does not think he will fit in at Bayern Munich. Ribery told SportBild (via Sport1),
Bayern has enough good players in this position. Where is he supposed to play? There’s Müller, Gnabry, Perisic, Coman, Coutinho, Lewandowski. There is a lot of competition. I hope that Sancho confirms his good year, but there would hardly be room for him in the Bayern squad.
Of course, readers are free to disagree with Ribery’s assessment, since Ivan Perisic is only a one-year loan, and Thomas Müller is not a natural winger. Niko Kovac could easily find a way to rotate Serge Gnabry, Kinsgsley Coman, and Jadon Sancho on the wings next year if Sancho decides to make the move to Bayern Munich (...and Leroy Sané does not).
Ribery had much to say about Serge Gnabry and his recent performances as well.
Serge is still young, but he has character, personality. He plays fearlessly. After his four goals against Tottenham, however, even more will be expected of him, but Serge is a man, not a machine: it’s not easy, to deliver top performances in every game. But Serge will go his way without putting too much pressure on himself.
Franck Ribery went on to discuss how Eintracht Frankfurt pursued him this summer. Thankfully, that move didn’t come to fruition, so we don’t have to root against the Bayern legend this year! Instead, Ribery chose Serie A side Fiorentina where he has scored 3 goals already and was voted Player of the Month for September. If you haven’t seen his highlights you should! His goals were of top quality.

As for Jadon Sancho to Bayern Munich, this transfer seems out of the cards. If you remember, at the beginning of this year Borussia Dortmund voted to stop any sales to Bayern. They of course have no problem with buying players like Mats Hummels from the Bavarians, but they would rather not see Sancho win the Bundesliga with Bayern.
