We’re seven matches into the 2019-20 Bundesliga season, and the league table is — well, I’m just going to say it: the Bundesliga table is bonkers! As Europe heads into the international break, Borussia Mönchengladbach sits atop the Bundesliga table with 16 points.
Six points separate Gladbach from tenth place Hertha Berlin. The top seven teams are all separated by two points. Wolfsburg (?)(!) are in second place! One of the preseason title favorites, Borussia Dortmund, is down in eighth place on only twelve points!
Plenty of movement this weekend

Bayern Munich is sitting in third place thanks to goal differential. The Bavarians are tied with four other clubs (RB Leipzig, Freiburg, Schalke, Bayer Leverkusen) on 14 points. With none of the “elite” teams finding their feet to start the season, it has given us a deeper pool of clubs at the top of the table.
While it’s only seven games, it looks like we might have a fun title race on our hands this season.
