Alphonso Davies has been called up to the Canada squad for the upcoming international break. The Canadians only have one match on the docket — the United States. It’s the first match between the two nations in Group A of the CONCACAF Nations League A Group A.
The Canadians lead the group after two wins against Cuba (the other team in the three-team group), but the United States has yet to play a game yet. This is a big match for Canada, and BMO Field in Toronto will be rocking.
Despite Davies’s attacking prowess, Canada seems comfortable playing him basically anywhere, but he’s been deployed as a fullback more often than he should be.
