With Jerome Boateng, Benjamin Pavard, and Javi Martinez as the only center-backs left, Niko Kovac and Bayern Munich could strengthen their defense by buying Unai Nunez from Athletic Bilbao. According to SPOX, Bayern Munich has been scouting Athletic Bilbao center-back, Unai Nunez, for some time now. In addition to playing in La Liga, Nunez also played and won the Under-21 European Cup for Spain. Since Bayern Munich are now without center-backs Niklas Süle and Lucas Hernandez they could potentially try to sign Nunez this winter transfer period.
Bayern Munich is not the only big club interested in the Spanish center-back. Arsenal and Everton also have their sights on Unai Nunez. Nunez contract has a €30 million exit clause, so Bayern Munich or another club would be able to buy him this winter transfer window. Unai Nunez reportedly wants to leave Athletic Bilbao since he has only made three appearances so far this season.
