Coming out of the international break, Bayern Munich II had the opportunity to take a big jump into the top five of the 3.Liga table. Things didn’t go their way, however, and the Bavarians suffered a big 3-0 defeat against FSV Zwickau.

With Chris Richards (illness), Lukas Mai (knee), Maximilian Welzmüller (muscular problems) out plus Alphonso Davies and Mickaël Cuisance with the first team, Sebastian Hoeneß had to make a total of five changes to the last squad he used prior to the international break.

It wasn’t a pretty match for Bayern. While they had a bright start, captain Nicolas Feldhahn conceded a penalty in the 22nd minute. Luckily for Bayern, Fabio Viteritti shanked the spot kick.

Unfortunately, Bayern ended up conceding in stoppage time of the first half when Leon Jensen put Zwickau on top. The second half started in disaster mode, when Elias Huth put Zwickau up 2-0 in the 46th minute. Then, Jensen scored his second of the game in the 55th minute, putting the game completely out of reach.

Bayern return to the field on Monday, October 28 against Waldhof Mannheim. The two clubs are separated by one point in the table with Bayern in 10th place.

Bayern XI: Früchtl - Yilmaz (57. Daniliuc), Feldhahn, Senkbeil, Köhn - Dajaku, Kern, Singh, Batista-Meier (57. Zirkzee) - Zylla (82. Will), Wriedt
