Thomas Müller courted by both Milans (Transfermarkt)

Thomas Müller’s agent Ludwig Kögl told AZ (via Transfermarkt) that “there are always inquiries for Thomas. There have always been.” Now, according to Kicker, Müller already had an offer from China, and he currently has inquiries from both AC and Inter Milan. Müller recently said that he is “simply too ambitious” to sit on the bench at Bayern Munich and would have to “think things over” if that is where he continues to find himself. Even though a winter transfer is highly unlikely in light of Bayern’s needs, it is interesting to speculate where Müller might turn in the summer if Niko Kovac and the club firmly stand firm in keeping him out of the starting lineup.

Bayern youngster signs with Lewandowski’s agent (TZ)

According to a report, Bayern II player Marcel Zylla has recently signed up with infamous agent Pinhas “Pini” Zahavi. You’ll remember that name from the recent transfer saga with Robert Lewandowski and his “will he/won’t he” effort to leave for Real Madrid a few years ago. Zylla’s contract is up this summer, so it’s very possible — and even likely — that he will look for another team this winter.

Zylla also picked up a goal an an assist in a 4-3 Poland win over Germany in a U20 clash during this break.

Thomas Hitzlsperger named Stuttgart CEO (VFB.de)

Former Bayern youth player Thomas Hitzlsperger has been named the new CEO of Stuttgart! The 37-year-old will head Stuttgart’s “sport, business strategy and communication departments.” Earlier this year, Hitzlsperger replaced Michael Reschke (Bayern’s erstwhile technical director) as the club’s head of sport. Prior to that, Hitzlsperger was the club’s academy director and sat on the board. He said,

I’m very happy that the supervisory board has handed me the role of chairman and I’d like to thank them for the trust they have placed in me. Together with Stefan Heim and Jochen Röttgermann, I will set ambitious goals. We need to go about things in a confident yet humble manner and act with transparency. VfB does not need a fresh start at every level, but needs to focus more on its strengths and gather more momentum in certain areas. We have three main objectives: an immediate return to the Bundesliga, further development of our infrastructure — in particular the Mercedes-Benz Arena — and maintaining our strong financial position.

Phil Foden the only player Pep would never sell... not for €500 million (The Sun)

Pep Guardiola thinks the world of 19-year-old Phil Foden, going so far as to badger him on the sidelines like he once talked to Joshua Kimmich. Pep told The Sun that Foden is City’s future — unlike his former teammate Jadon Sancho, who jumped ship for playing time at Borussia Dortmund. Guardiola said of Foden,

We didn’t give Foden a new contract by accident. He is the only player that can’t be sold under any circumstances — the only one. Not even for 500m euros. Phil’s going nowhere — Phil IS City. We won’t be signing anyone else for that position. When David Silva leaves, we know exactly who our new magician will be.

But is he worth 1,000 Dantes? That’s all I have to ask.

Iranian women attend home match for first time in decades (BBC)

In a move that should earn them no praise, the Iranian government allowed a small number of women to attend a match for the first time in decades. Iran did so only after the famous “Blue Girl,” Sahar Khodayari, committed suicide by self-immolation in protest of her conviction for attending a match in disguise. In a show of support following Iran’s massive 14-0 victory over Cambodia in World Cup qualifying, captain Masoud Shojaei took his team over to the section filled with women to applaud them.

Inter weighing January push for Ajax’s Donny van de Beek (Calciomercato)

According to a report by Tuttosport picked up by Calciomercato, Inter Milan is monitoring Ajax’s Donny van de Beek.

Tuttosport claim that Inter are keeping a close eye on Van de Beek and that has been happening for the last two seasons. They could make a move for the Dutchman in January considering Lazio will not sell Sergey Milinkovic-Savic in January.

Peter Cech signs... as a hockey goalie?! (Guildford Junior Ice Hockey Club)

Seriously, WTF?

I guess he’ll bring out the helmet again? Honestly, though, you only live one. Go out there and kick ice, Petr!
