Updates from Doha: Bayern players are resting (@FCBayernEN)
As its rigorous training camp progresses, Bayern Munich is giving some players rest. Joshua Kimmich, Rafinha, and Serge Gnabry all were held out of practice today for a respite. Meanwhile, Arjen Robben and Corentin Tolisso continued their individual training.
Per AZ, Robben is still battling his thigh issues and his status might be in doubt for the squad’s Rückrunde opener against Hoffenheim.

Gunners might not be able to afford James (The Mirror)
Leave it to the The Mirror to rain on Don Balon’s parade as Unai Emery and Arsenal might not have enough coin to land James Rodriguez. On the bright side, if this leads to some kinds of news team brawl like we saw in Anchorman...then I’m okay with it.
Arsenal were reportedly in for Real Madrid forward - currently on loan at Bayern Munich - James Rodriguez on Sunday night, according to the Spanish media.n The mooted transfer fee was £63million, and it was claimed the Colombian wanted out of both Bayern and Madrid. The fee however is too steep for Arsenal, and it’s very unlikely that Rodriguez will be keen on yet another loan move. What’s more Juventus are also linked with a move for the 27-year-old, and it seems - unfortunately for Arsenal - to be a better fit for the Colombian.

Schweinsteiger goes cover boy (@FCBayernUS)
Chicago Fire star and Bayern legend Bastian Schweinsteiger along his wife, former tennis stalwart Ana Ivanovic, were on the cover of Vogue’s Germany edition. Schweinsteiger looks distinguished, but also ready to take over the world (which he already did in 2014 ).
