Kruse linked to Bayern (Express.de)
Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse has been loosely linked to Bayern Munich. Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach are also in the mix, with Die Fohlen considered the leader in the clubhouse.
Kruse’s contract expires in June, and he could be a good fit for depth on any of the three teams mentioned, specifically M’Gladbach or Bayern (especially after today’s earlier news).
EXPRESS has learned: Foals manager Max Eberl (45) is planning the spectacular recall of a former fan favorite to the foal stable. Specifically: Gladbach wants offensive ace Max Kruse (30) back! The former international has not yet renewed his contract with SV Werder Bremen, which expires in June.
However, we have also learned: Not only Gladbach is keen on Kruse, but other top clubs like Bayern or Dortmund may also consider the offensive all-rounder on account of his current status as a “free transfer.”
With Sandro Wagner possibly headed to China on a transfer, perhaps the whispers surrounding Kruse could have some merit. Bayern would eventually need a back-up to Robert Lewandowski, whether that might happen now or in the summer.
One of the primary reasons that a veteran talent like Kruse is even available is the emergence of United States starlet Josh Sargent, who has shown some glimpses of future stardom with Die Werderaner.
Rebic mulling Premier League move (Daily Mail)
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Ante Rebic has long been linked to his old coach Niko Kovac. A move to Bayern, however, may not be in the cards.
Croatia striker Ante Rebic has put Premier League clubs on alert after revealing his dream is a move to English football. Manchester United were strongly linked with the player in the summer with former manager Jose Mourinho a keen admirer. Arsenal and Tottenham have also shown interest in the Eintracht Frankfurt forward, who has been valued in the region of £35million.
Rebic had this to say about a possible jump to England:
I can’t deny many clubs, some from England, expressed an interest. The Premier League is attractive and it would suit my style. I’d like to experience it.
Gomez saw the writing on the wall against Bayern (@dw_sports)
VfB Stuttgart striker and former Bayern man Mario Gomez evaluated the match-up against the Bavarians and made a suggestion to his coach, Markus Weinzierl.

It was a rare and somewhat stunning admission by Gomez, who has always displayed a great competitive spirit. As Stuttgart battles the threat of relegation, perhaps Gomez’s sole focus was on giving Die Schwaben the best opportunity to walk out of the Allianz Arena with at least one point.
Özil to Inter bandied about again (@dw_sports)
Arsenal’s Meszut Ozil has once again seen his name tied to a move out of London. This time, however, it is in a swap deal with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic.
Out of favour at Arsenal, could Mesut Özil be on his way to Inter Milan?

Perisic has seen his name tied to Bayern a few times in recent months, but nothing substantial ever evolved.
Hudson-Odoi urged to stay by Brazilian star (Evening Standard)
Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi is being prodded to stay by one of the men viewed as blocking the 18-year-old’s quest for more playing time, Willian.
Of course we want him to stay. We don’t want him to leave. He can become one of the best players for Chelsea, one of the best players in the world, in the future. He has to stay. He’s only 18, but he can improve a lot to become one of the best players. We tell him all the time to stay here. We know how important he is for this club and for us and we just want him to stay.

Allianz Arena to host Euro matches (@cfbayern)
Per SportBild’s Christian Falk, Bayern’s home arena will play host to three Euro 2020 matches. Two of the matches would involve Germany, should Die Mannschaft qualify.
